Hello everyone

This week has been really good for Elder Arquiola and I. We had a great week with our work. The member presents were up as well as New investigators and Oyms. I think it all goes back into the obedience, prayer, and us being in this new area where there are no fences to hold us back. We have focused a lot on families and Preisthood. We have a really good family. Encinas Family is really amazing and ready for the Gospel. The father contacted is as we were walking. He was taught back in the day when he was in Australia. He is really excited when we come over. He was all excited and of course us to when he said that his whole family will being going to church. Total there are 7 of them and 5 I believe that can be baptized. Also some of his family there at there house. The Branch is really supportive but it still needs some work. Elder Arquiola and I are hope that we will both be able to stay here and continue the awesome work of the Lord here in Bulihan. I was pretty bumbed when we only had 1 at church when we could have had 15 to 20. Next week WILL be better.

Hey lahat mga kapatid at pamilya

This week has been great. My companion and I have found a ton of new people who ready as ever. This one investigator of ours is awesome. Bro Macagba. He is a retired 2nd lieutenant is the Air Force of The Philippines. He can speak good english and he way good in the Bible. Which made us kinda nervous at first but I told my companion follow the spirit and everything will be fine. He is was nice. He is about in his 70's. Yesterday we went to his house to teach him and we saw him reading the Book of Mormon. The cool part is he can hardly read because he had surgery on his left eye and he cant really see. So he was using a magnify glass to read and that is really hard for him. So we are working on getting him glasses. He also came to church last Sunday. He had a good time and said he will come back. This other family we are teaching The Cagas family. His brother is a new member and they want to get married and baptized but they couldn't because the brother doesnt have a birth certificate. We asked President Howard and he said they can be married. Even thou there Birth Certificate is fake just have to make sure the information is right on it. So we gave them a marriage and a baptismal date for Jan 29. They were really happy when we shared the great news with them. That was there New Years Resolution because they could do it last year. There other brother wants to be married and baptized to but he is going to wait till his wife gets back from the province. Also we were walking and this guy came to use and asked where the church was. He was taught while he was staying in Australia and so he wanted to continue investigating the church. This week we had a ton of lessons with members. We also had a Temple Tour which is kinda new here. We take our investigators and Recent converts to the temple and share with them the things we do there and how to obtain a Temple Recommend. I taught Gospel Principles class yesterday and it wasn't to bad just no one was really there. Something we are starting to do because there are tons of unbaptized members. Sounds kinda weird huh... Well if the were blessed as a child in the church a record was made for them so usually they are part member families. But we find out the families that have children who have not been baptized or have non member family and we visit them. As a Mission in December we reached our highest amount of baptisms ever....229 souls entered the waters of baptism. Our goal is to reach 300 souls. Goals are dreams with deadlines. Well I hope all is well with everyone. Mahal ko kayo lahat. Ingats kayo.

Hey yall

This week has been really good. These last 5 days we have gone around to all the members to visit them and start getting there trust. We pasted around a dinner calendar yesterday and it filled right up!!!! Not everyday but alot more than I thought would be there. The area is so small that we can walk from one side to the other in 10 min or so. Im in a branch now with attendance about 100 or so. Yesterday 127 attended which they said was the most in a long time. They didnt have enough bread or water so they had to find more which took sometime. So far my tagalog has increased ALOT. Of course im still learning and clueless at time but thats part of life. People are really surprised when I tell them i've only been in the Philipinas about 8 months. We ate at a members last night and I was having a hard time with my spoon and fork so I put them aside and used my hands. They have more respect for you if you can eat with our hands and especially rice with ants in it. Which no one wanted to eat so I thought why waste it. So I ate it with my hands. Ummm New Years was absolutely crazy!!! Huge fireworks being thrown at the jeepneys which we were in. So we got orders from our Mission President to be inside by 6pm NO LATER. We had a little Fiesta with six missionaries. Chicken, Rice, and Ice cream. With the loud music from the neighbors until 2am. This Holiday season is crazy here. Tons of food. Christmas and New Years I was stuffed. Christmas I thought I was going to throw everything up. M new area is kinda cold. Its really high so the wind is strong so I freeze at night so now I have to sleep with a blanket or I cant sleep. We have 2 senior missionary couples that go to church with us. Yesterday after church we were invited to go to there house for dinner and talk about the area. I was way excited haha GOOD FOOD!!!! But we had a meeting so we will be doing that Wednesday night. The Couple Missionaries are both American so church is kinda weird for them....Tagalog...........Sister Morgan bore her testimony in Tagalog and Elder Morgan said a prayer and answered some stuff in tagalog. I was suprised and they are doing really good. The work has been slow but will pick up tomorrow when we get back to our finding. Im pretty excited to be here. The member are nice. Well thats all no pics this week but mabe next week. Love you all.
