Hello lahat

This week has flown by just like every other week haha. We went to the temple last week and and I feel the blessing for going there last week. To day is transfer day but I wasn't tranfered and thats ok cause we have some baptisms coming up Elder Amianit is staying also so we are going to tare the area up haha. Our fist one is this Saturday the 28th. Sis Lorni, she the one who has been a investigator for many years haha and been active in the church for around 3. Just imagine how many Elders have taught her and im the lucky one to baptize her. Im pretty excited and shes excited also. Im excited for her. Last night it was raining really hard and my umbrella is broken and so I was trying to fix it and our investigaotrs house before we left and I was using my pen haha BAD IDEA!!! I fixed the some what but I put the pen in my pocket and I didnt know it was broken. Our next investigators said to me Elder your packet what happened?? haha my pen leaked ink all over my pocket and it went through. It made a huge mess but I couldn't do anything haha just have to keep working. So last night I cut my shirt up to make rags for the apartment and this morning I tried to clean it off my garments. I got most of it but there is some that wont come out haha. I bought some stain remover at the MTC and that worked great haha. Anyways earlier this week I went on exchange with Elder Abatayo. hes new so I lead the area. We went to a bread story for some food and I ment to say to the lady "may RC po" RC is a cola drink but i said "may cr po" hahaha cr is for Comfort Room haha she laughed and said Wala kundi meron RC. haha I felt pretty stupid so I hurry and said Joke joke mo. Also that night it rain and we were walking to back from out investigators on the train tracks at night. I look down the tracks and see a bright light haha so i turned to my companion Elder Abatayo and said choo choo takbo. So we were running through water and mud to get out of the way. It wasn't really close but. There is houses on one side and a fence on the other so we couldn't go anywhere but straight. Were ok thou. We made it with plenty of time to spare. Elder Abatayo said to me later that night that he is so happy for us cause we have so many progressing investigators and they are doing really good. He is a great Elder for only being out on the mission for 1 month and 20 days. He is so humble and nice. Anyways I love this work!!!! I see the impact the Gospel has and these people everyday and the smile and look in the eyes. It makes my happy and makes me want to get out and share with more people. I know this Church is true and that it blesses people and brings joy to people and their families. I can see it with families here and my own family. I know Jesus is the Christ and that he atoned for our sins so that we could return to live with him and our Father in Heaven. Mahal ko Kayo!!!!!:)

Hello Everyone.

This week was another fast and great week. My companion and i were able to find some new investigators and some less actives. My companion and I were tracking one day in a lugar named kappiville. We found a less active member and we talked with her for awhile (BRT) we asked if we could come by later in the week and she said of course. When we went to the appointment she invited two friends that are catholic over so that we could met them. We shared The Restoration and asked if we could come back again and they said yes. Sunday came around and we met them the Saturday before and one of them came to church and this week they both came to church. That was really cool. We had 8 investigators to church last week. We gave them a Bap date Sept 11 and one accepted the other said I don't have an answer. So we just asked her to pray about it. We went back to visit with them and she accepted. We ended up meeting their families and due to that one member we found people that were interested. Members are a huge part of missionary work. Every dinner appointment we have which there is a lot we give them a referral card. Last week I worked with an American elder and he is really good with tagalog and pretty much everything hahaha. Elder Graham from Utah. He taught me alot about myself. That I know more than I think I know Tagalog wise.... He helped me to follow the spirit more. Its real hard to follow the spirit when teaching cause everything that I say I get from other elders from listening and from reading books and stuff I say every time. But he said to not worry about your Tagalog just focus on the things your good at. Everything will fall into place. Today was temple day and we woke up at 330 and left about 4 in the morning haha. We got all the way to the temple and I left my recommend at the apartment. So I had to call President Howard and finally was able to go in. The people are real nice most of the time. Sometimes kids like to swear at me haha which is fine minson I just say pangit ka talaga. Tricycle drivers say hey Joe want a ride and I say libre ba than there like oh no bayad. haha its funny on jeepneys and tricycle people talk about me and than a say something to them and than they stop talking cause they find out I can understand haha. Today i realized i love the Philippines cause im use to the life style know and other things haha. well That's all I have time for today Till next Wednesday and maybe I'll be in Palawan :D or somewhere else haha. Take care all. Mahal ko kayo.

Well hello everyone

A week has come and gone and another has come hahaha does that make sense?? Last night was the first ever that i woke up in the middle of the night cold haha weird so I shut my fan off. I don't even know the temp or humidity here but if you could see my shirts after going outside for an hour or even walking down to the bottom of the road haha... It has been raining like crazy lately and my umbrella kinda broke so i just enjoy the rain hahaha I watched the news for a couple minutes the other day and I could understand some of it but I saw that another typhoon or baugio is coming to the Philipinas haha but i think its on the other side of the island so its all good. We have interviews with the President tomorrow and we have reading assignments in the BOM and so I have read 2 Nephi 1 until Mosiah 27 of the BOM in the last two days haha cause if were not up to date than we cant go to the Temple and syempre gusto ko pumunta sa templo haha anyways until next week Mahal ko kayo!!!!:)

Hello everyone

This week has been a normal and maybe there just normal to me haha. Yesterday we went to a members house and she has been inactive for a while and her husband is a pastor for the born again christian church here. He has been a member for the Iglesia ni cristo, baptist, Ang Simbahan ni Jesucristo ng mga Banal sa mga Huling Araw which is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. He has attended our ward and he said he like it and he read some of the Bible but he said that there are somethings missing from the Bible. Anyways he preached to us alittle and when we started talking he said oh sorry I have to go hahaha. Typical for the Philippines haha. We didn't have any baptisms. We had to change there dates due to some problems. Maybe we will have some this month. Anyways we had zone conference last week and that was good. The food was good haha. A missionary from my batch sa MTC came in. He tore his ACL our last week in the MTC and he stayed there for another 2 months. It was really good to see him. He said to me I cant wait to get to the apartment and sleep haha and I laughed. Cause He wasn't going to sleep when he got home. You put your backs to the side and go out and later that night you get to unpack and relax. I had my member friend Brother Andy order me two belts 1 coconut belt and 1 bamboo belt. There hand made from coconut shells and bamboo trees. There is another belt that i ordered 1 carabao belt. Its kinda like a water buffalo but the use the horns to make belts. Its the thing for amerikanos to do here is to have a belt like that. Anyways We had dinner at a members house last week and there are cockroach's all over the place here. There HUGE to. There fast and if you try to kill it, it flys haha But we were eating and a cockroach was flying around. and they like to crawl up your legs so I have my feet off the ground always. Two weeks ago a cockroach crawled on to my companions shoulder and he flicked it off and then it crawled up his leg and was inside his pants and he was trying to stay calm. He thought it fell but it didn't haha we went back to the apartment and he took off his pants and it fell out and it was dead and twitching haha it was so funny. Anyways thats all the stories I can remember haha so until next week. Mahal kita
